Caledonian Canal

The Caledonian Canal is one of the great waterways of the world, running through the very heart of Scotland some 60 miles (97 km) from northeast to southwest.

Castles & Historic Places

Right in the heart of the city, overlooking the River Ness just where it flows into the Moray Firth. Inverness Castle now stands were, legend has it, was once the seat of 11th Century Gaelic king Mac Bethad Mac Findláich

We're happy to say Inverness has 9 distilleries within a 50 mile radius! Whisky tourism is increasingly important to the economy, with over 1.7m visits to Scotch Whisky visitor centres last year.
